TEACHER OF PLASTIC ARTS, UNIVERSITY OF CHILE, WITH STUDIES OF SPECIALIZATION AND COMPLEMENTARY IN SAN FERNANDO’S REAL ACADEMY AND IN THE MUNICIPAL SCHOOL OF CERAMIC, MADRID; IN THE SCHOOL OF THEATER AND SCENERY IN TV; IN THE O.R.T.F., RADIO AND FRENCH TELEVISION, SHE EXPOSED IN CHILE, SPAIN, FRANCE, GERMANY AND SWISS, SO MUCH INDIVIDUAL AS COLLECTIVELY. THEIR WORKS ARE IN COLLECTIONS PARTICULARS IN SPAIN, GERMANY, UNITED STATES, MEXICO AND JAPAN. IN CHILE, IN THE PINACOTECA OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CONCEPCIÓN, AND IN THE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY FEDERICO SANTA MARÍA AND IN OTHER PUBLIC PLACES.

SHE HAS OBTAINED SUCH DISTINCTIONS AS:

  • “PRIZE SOCIETY THEATRICAL AUTHORS OF SANTIAGO, FIRST ROOM OF PLASTIC ARTS OF PEOPLE OF THEATER.
  • “MEDAL OF GOLD, INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION OF NATIVITIES, MADRID.
  • “2º PRIZE IN SCULPTURE IN THE 2º INTERNATIONAL ROOM OF PLASTIC ARTS, ACEA, BARCELONA; 1997
  • “1º PRIZE COMPETITION MINISTRY OF WORKS PUBLISHES OF CHILE, FOR ITS WORK THE “CHAMAN», COPIAPO; 1998
  • “1º PRIZE TO THE BEST FOREIGN ARTIST IN SCULPTURE, IN THE 7º INTERNATIONAL SALO’ D’ARTS PLASTIQUES, ACEA, BARCELONA; 2000
  • “SECOND PRIZE IN THE COMPETITION NATIONAL MONUMENT TO THE MAN’S OF SEA WOMAN, OF THE MARINE LEAGUE OF CHILE, MAY 2001.
  • “FIRST PRIZE COMPETITION NATIONAL HOMAGE TO THE GREAT LOGIA OF CHILE, OCTOBER 2001.

SHE WAS FOUNDER OF THE SCHOOL OF ART OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PLAYA ANCHA OCCUPYING THE FIRST DEAN. LATER ON YOU ACTING AS GENERAL DIRECTOR OF EXTENSION OF THAT UNIVERSITY. THEIR EXPERIENCE LIKE EDUCATIONAL IT HAS DEVELOPED IT IN CHILEAN UNIVERSITIES AND FOREIGNERS. AT THE MOMENT SHE DICTATES THE CLASS OF FORMS AND SPACE AND THE SPECIALTY OF SCULPTURE IN THE ONE MENTIONED SCHOOL OF ART.

THE WORK

ONE OF THE THEMATIC ONES THAT APPROACHES ARE THE UNIVERSE, THE PLANETS AND THE CONSTELLATIONS THAT ARE EXPRESSED IN MOONS AND STARS. TO CONCRETE UP THESE WORKS, THE SCULPTURE STUDIES TEXTS THAT SPEAK OF THE MYTHS THAT THE GREEKS CREATED TO EXPLAIN THE CELESTIAL PHENOMENONS.

THE MATERIALITY THAT USES TO EXPRESS THESE FORMS IS THE MARBLE, THE ALABASTER AND THE COMBARBALITA.

THE OTHER GREAT SLOPE OF ITS WORK IS INSERTED IN AN INVESTIGATION THAT CARRIES OUT FROM 1986, PREPOSITION OF THE PETROGLIFOS OF THE 5º REGION. THESE ENGRAVINGS HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH ROCKS OF THE MOUNTAIN RANGE HAVE ONE IT DATES BEFORE COLUMBUS AND THEY ARE SOURCE OF INSPIRATION TO CREATE THEIR SCULPTURES. THE MATERIALS THAT USES IN THESE FORMS ARE MAINLY THE BRASS, THE STEEL AND THE GRANITE.

THEIR SCULPTURES ARE IN THEIR ABSTRACT MAJORITY, OF PLANES AND LINE SIMPLE AND PURIFIED THAT THE ESSENCE REPRESENTS, SO MUCH IN THE FORM AS DE ITS MATERIALITY.
